StarTurrets
I'm making StarTurrets by myself. It's a tower defence game, but the map is one galaxy that everybody shares, and it keeps going when you close the tab.
You start with a small plot in a star system. Put towers on the roads into it and hold it against pirate raids. The money it makes buys you an asteroid, then moons and planets, and soon you're planning invasions of other players' bases, lane by lane, with air strikes aimed at the towers you want gone.
Each galaxy lasts about a week. A black hole at its centre grows as the season goes on, and when it swallows the galaxy the winner names the next one and everyone starts again equal.
What’s there now:
Expand: you start on a small plot and climb to asteroids, moons, planets and stars. Each tier earns about ten times the last. Hold every body in a system and the system is yours.
Exploit: every system has its own supply and demand prices. You can charter haulers to run cargo between systems for the arbitrage, and your own freight moves the prices you’re trading on.
Exterminate: you plan invasions lane by lane with squads, pacing and air strikes, and fight AI empires and other players. Empires sign timed pacts and can break them, at a visible cost in trust. A news feed reports betrayals and retaliation. The end game is a laser built on a star you own, which can burn a neighbouring world to a husk.
Seasons: one shared galaxy, a black hole that ends it after 7-30 days, and a winner whose name goes on the next galaxy.
Battles play out in real time as tower defence on each base, so it’s 4X at the empire level, real time as apposed to classic turn-based.
It runs in your browser on a phone or a computer, with no download and no email. You just pick a name. The game opens in its own tab so your base is waiting when you come back.
I read every comment here, and I change the game from what player opinions.
